Marty McFly's Nike MAG became a reality back in 2011, but they didn't include the power laces. The shoes were released via eBay auction to raise money for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Over the weekend, design legend Tinker Hatfield made an appearance at the Jordan Brand Flight Lab in New Orleans for 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend. When asked if “Power Laces” could become a reality, the man himself answered “Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!”
