More peope are cycling these days in major cities including London and Paris and New York. The trend is changing the way people commute and while not everyone possesses the physical fitness to bike around, pedaling a bike all day long can be quite tiring.

The solution to this is the use of electric bikes. But owning one can be heavy, almost as much as a scooter. So a U.K. based company has come up with an invention called The Rubbee. It is a device that can be attached to your bike in under 30 seconds that adds in an electric motor to your regular bike.

It has a range of 15 miles and only weighs 14 pounds and has a recharge time of just two hours and can reach speeds of up to 15 miles per hour. The device is also waterproof and can be fitted to any size tire and has a rear LED light too which is controlled by a handlebar mounted throttle.

The only downside of this is its heavy price tag of $1,300. Scheduled to be available in November, the company is still looking for support for the project via Kickstarter.
