You don't have to be an astronaut to go up to space, that we know. Deodorant Axe has a campaign to find citizen astronauts. Virgin Galactic is sending people up in to sub-orbit. And Elon Musk is probably working on something similar.

But here's Kyle Andrews, and in his new music video, he gets as close as possible, all without setting foot off the ground.

The songwriter's forthcoming album Brighter Than the Sun used a a GoPro camera and an iPad were attached to a weather balloon and launched from Andrews' hometown in Nashville.

Six hours later, the balloon pops at 110,000 feet and the device descends with the aid of a parachute. With GPS, the crew recovered the equipment. Check out the video below:
