Rescue bots are getting innovative. Carnegie Mellon's modular snake robot is one such robot. It has been tested for both rescue operations and situations where the snake can reach and go. And now, it's gotten even better - it can slither like a real snake! This time to find people trapped in collapsed buildings.

The snake robot is going through a trial run at "Disaster City," a rescue testing ground run by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Check out the video of it in demo:
