This Music Box Is Chock Full Of Mechanical Wonders (Video)

MB&F has taken its designing mechanical timekeeping wonders and applied it to music boxes. The result is a mechanical wonder of a cross between a hydroplane and a time machine.
Each brass cylinder will play three different 35 seconds snippets of a song from Star Wars, Star Trek and the Imperial March on one, and Smoke On the Water, Another Brick In the Wall, and Imagine on the other.
There are 1,400 small pins that are capable of producing 72 unique notes and will play to different tracks when the cylinders shift slightly to the side to realign the pins. One box will cost $13,000. Expensive? Yes. But too marvelous. Check it out in the video below: [MB&F via Hodinkee]
