Google Glass is expected to be out by end of the year for less than $1,500. But instead of blowing that much cash on something, and waiting for so long, why not build it yourself for under $300 (approx RM1,000).
Instructables user "XenonJohn" has put together a guide on how to put one together. It won't look as sleek as Google's but at least you don't blow that much cash away.
You'll need a pair of MyVu Crystal video glasses, basic gaming headset, a Dremel epoxy glue, and a very small nut and bolt. You'll also need an iOS device.
The hack doesn't include a camera and it isn't wireless either. But the MyVu lets you mirror your iOS device's display with limited voice command input via the gaming headset's mic.
XenonJohn also says the Beady-i doesn't obstruct the wearer's entire eye.
Check it out in the link below if you are interested on making one yourself. But it's true. It's not as good looking as Google Glass.
