This tip from YouTube user krotoflik demonstrates how to create a simple shade for cameras with flip-out screens by using a beer bottle cozy and a plastic Crystal Light beverage mix container:



Make sure to cut out the container so that it fits nice and snug. This will allow it to hold its shape when attached  to the camera's flip-out screen. The shade will prevent you from having to squint at the screen when it's too sunny out.
