Cohen traveled to cities but on the same latitude. To LA, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, to places like Joshua Tree National Park, to the Mojave Desert and the Amazon. All darkened out. Cohen photographed and combined these skies with images of the cities, treated so they looked as though they were illuminated only by the stars.
