This new Kickstarter project provides a portable charging solution. The Nomad boils the Apple Lightning cable down its two most important parts - a USB port and an 8 pin connector. Users can charge an iPhone 5, iPad mini or iPad 4 where there's a computer or power adapter.
Early backers on its Kickstarter page have pledged $5 or more. It will most likely be available for general purchase by February 2013.
