Halloween isn't over and the aliens are not going anywhere anytime soon. However, what you see here is not scary alien babies, or Darth Vader hybrids, but embryos of bats.

This photo of the species Molossus rufus, or more commonly known as the 'black mastiff bat', was taken by Dorit Hockman, from the University of Cambridge's Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience.
