YG’s new group WINNER to debut simultaneously in Japan and Korea

YG Entertainment’s new boy group WINNER will be making a debut simultaneously in both Japan and Korea. The debut survival program ‘WIN: Who Is Next’ completed its run on October 25th and Team A’s Kang Seung Yoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Lee Seung Hun and Nam Tae Hyun earned victory over Team B. They’re set to be the first new boy group of YG in seven years since Big Bang. According to Japanese media outlet Sankei Sports, YG Entertainment’s founder Yang Hyun Suk announced that WINNER will be performing in the opening stages of Big Bang’s Dome Tour which will kick off on November 16. Yang Hyun Suk stated, “We are hoping the debut of WINNER will be made both in Korea and Japan simultaneously. They will be recording their songs in Japanese as well.” He added, “WINNER will be able to bear fruit in Japan earlier than Big Bang did”, showing his confidence to his latest boy group. Leader Kang Seung Yoon also revealed his excitement saying, “I am very excited to visit different places in Japan that I had seen in TV dramas or movies.”
