The goofy five-member girl group Crayon Pop is receiving attention in the United States. On August 28th, American Broadcasting Company (ABC)’s ‘Good Morning America’ made a report about Crayon Pop as the next generation of K-pop rookies and gave detailed introductions about their concept and choreography of hit single “Bar Bar Bar”. The program mentioned the female group’s distinctive concept is the success tactic of Crayon Pop. They also introduced a great number of parody videos of their performances, adding that the choreography is getting viral like Psy’s ‘horse dance’. During an interview, Crayon Pop were asked why they decided to present a comic concept rather than the sexy concept most of the other girl groups are showing. Member Way said, “We want to encourage people who are tired with work to enjoy life.”
