Prosecutors ask for 1 year jail sentence for DMTN’s Daniel

The prosecution has demanded a jail sentence of 1 year and a penalty of 6.7 million KRW (6,000 USD) for DMTN’s Daniel for distributing marijuana. Daniel admitted to all the marijuana charges including aiding in its distribution during the 1st trial held in April. At the final hearing today, the prosecution stated that it demands a one-year prison sentence for Daniel along with a fine. Daniel’s lawyer came on defence and asked, “Choi Daniel had a more relaxed attitude toward marijuana since he was born in the U.S. and he sold marijuana only among acquaintances. We ask for a suspended sentence.”
