This Time-lapse Video Starring A Tree Is Both Weird & Wonderful [VIDEO]

Behold the Yucca brevifolia, better known as the Joshua tree. This particular species can only be found growing in the southwest U.S., mostly in the Mojave Desert. As you can imagine, a lot of people don't even know that this weird looking tree even exists.
The Joshua tree population is declining due to environmental changes, which means this might be the only time you'll ever get to see it. Here's a clip by filmmaker Sungjin Ahn which stars the particular tree. Shot in California's aptly named Joshua Tree National Park, the timelapse was showed at the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Fest in October. Enjoy:
