[News] Kara to start activities in Japan? Makes appearance in Arashi's Homework
2009.11.23
Kara, on the 23rd broadcast of Japanese variety show Arashi's Homework, will make a video appearance. The show is one of Japan's higher rated programs.
Kara will greet Japanese viewers by video. They were able to become guests on Arashi'sHomeworkbecause of famous Japanese gag man Gekidan Hitori. Gekidan Hitori is a huge Kara fan and even went to Korea to visit Kara at their DSP Entertainment's headquarters.
DSP said that "Gekidan Hitori has come by our DSPJapan office before requesting info and merchandises of Kara... we're thankful he likes them and at that time he requested for them to do a video message."
Gekidan Hitori has already promoted Kara on a different Japanese program called Monkey Baby in which Morning Musume's ex-member/leader Yaguchi Mari is a part of. He said that since Kara is not known in Japan, he started giving out copies to different tv programs.
There has been no word by DSP about debuting Kara in Japan, however this is great first step. How do you guys feel about Kara possibly debuting in Japan soon? They will be getting a lot of exposure in Japan through this, do you think DSP should pursue activities in Japan?
Personally, I feel Kara can be huge in Japan, especially Koo Hara who has been compared to Namie Amuro in looks. Credits: omgkpop
