This Year’s Stage/Performance – SBS June 28th, 2NE1 ‘Fire’
2NE1’s stage performance clearly shows their determination in for the industry. The starkly contrasting colors of the clothes and stage (‘hot red’ versus black and white), the unique angles that the camera men used to capture the performance, add to that the choreography that the members personally made: these all add up to the performance being the best of the night.
This Year’s Album – 2NE1 Mini-Album
Compared to the shock that [this] mini-album offered, [the effect of] Kim Chang-Wan Band’s full album seems quiet. [There have been] amateur first albums that have concentrations of pop songs in it, but they have only mostly been just adequate. Jo-wall (musician), despite having made this season’s most beautiful melody, thought that there is another group deserving of the title ‘talented musicians’ and ‘devoted musicians’. The conclusion therefore reached is 2NE1’s Mini-Album.
This Year’s Song – 2NE1 ‘I Don’t Care’
At first, this song was treated as just a much more deflated/powerless subsequent song to ‘Fire’. Even as of now, when the song ‘I Don’t Care’ has been chosen as the song of the year, the reason as to why the song is special is ambiguous. However, it is the most heard song of the year. Without reason, [people would] listen to this song, look up the performances, and hum the song. [Without reason] they just wanted to. This song was like a rainstorm that would drench you without giving you a chance to escape.
