Lee Ji Su who famously sung korean drama << My Girl >>’s opening song went through a tough debut and even had to face his mum’s disapproval. Thus, he thanks Super Junior’s Shindong for giving him encouragement back then.
During the recent Sundown Festival Seoul’d Out 2009 concert press conference, Lee Ji Su talks about the challenges he faced during his debut.
He remembers that he debuted around the same period of time as Super Junior and they often bumped into each other at variety shows. Back then, he was feeling troubled over his current career path as an artiste and Super Junior’s Shindong had readily lent him a listening ear, giving him advice and encouragement.
In the short span of a few years, Super Junior has become famous all over Asia, and Lee Ji Su was asked if he felt envious over Shindong and Super Junior’s achievements. Lee Ji Su smiled and replied that he was not one bit envious, and instead felt happy for Super Junior’s high popularity.
