Singer Brian Joo formerly of Fly to the Sky was a victim of racism which caused him to break up with his girlfriend. On the 8th broadcast of SBS' "Best Friend's Note," Brian confessed about his painful memories of love.

Brian talked about a relationship with a black girl in the States who resembled the looks of Halle Berry. They were able to date during school and a week later, started seeing each other outside in public.

However, that was the last day they got to date each other. When their date was over, he dropped her off at her house. Her mom saw that Brian was of Asian background and rudely asked "How will you be able to marry my daughter?" and kicked him out.

The next day, the girlfriend came and told Brian that "because of my mom, I don't think we can see each other." Brian said that was the most unfair way he ended a relationship.
