2010.05.06
Yesterday, Wonder Girls’ new concept and track list for their new mini album, 2 Different Tears, was revealed and with it, news about them has taken over cyberspace.
Today, fans were able to get a sneak peak of Wonder Girls new MV thanks to photos that surfaced on the internet of a child actress on the set of the filming.
Behind the robot looking little girl who is sporting clothing characteristic of the 80’s, you can see some other people sporting afros and silver clothing, could one of those be a Wonder Girl? Who knows…
Anticipation is growing faster and faster for Wonder Girls comeback. But the girls have actually been pretty busy and not just with album preparations.
Wonder Girls return to the Korean stage has the advertising market running wild to get the girls to work for them. Wonder Girls are currently advertising six products which include modeling for Sony Ericsson Asia Pacific, EXR Korea, BBQ Chicken, Cafe Mori, their own cosmetics line WG by WONDERgirls and KIA Forte. With their comeback it is expected that they will shoot 3 or 4 more CFs.
An advertisement spokesman said,
“The Wonder Girls are responsible for the girl group craze today. They also symbolize the greatness of being on the Billboard main chart. They may have been absent in the Korean market for the past two years but this is the reason the advertising market is paying attention to the Wonder Girls. By only accepting a minimum of 500 million won per CF they recorded 3 billion won solely from CFs while they are awaiting their comeback.”
Wonder Girls new EP, 2 Different Tears, will be released on May 15th in USA and on the 16th in Korea. JYP Entertainment have decided that they will be shipping the EP free of charge to those who pre-ordered the full album on their site Wonder CD Presale. With the announcement, which was made by sending an e-mail to those who had previously pre-ordered the album, they also said that the full album will be released around Fall 2010, which means it has been pushed back from the July release date we previously informed you about.
To compensate for the wait, JYPE is also holding a contest where fans get the chance to win a Nobody wardrobe set used in performances, signed CDs, Polaroids with messages from the girls and signed posters. The requirements are to make a video of yourself and three or more friends watching the launching event in L.A which will be streamed live on UStream and send it to fan@jype.com with the subject title WG EVENT. Submissions will be accepted from May 15th to May 21st.
It seems like JYPE is looking to do whatever they can to please fans from all over the world after patiently waiting for the girls comeback.
