[news] MBS still undecided whether to broadcast KARA's "Were with you" or not
2010.05.19
The world cup song by KARA "Were with you" is still waiting for it's final decision from MBC today after the reviews on whether it will be accepted for broadcast or not.
KARA's "Were with you" already passed the MBC review first hand, however, they did not include in their review the fact that the song used SBS World Cup Campaign in it's background. They have taken it to reconsideration and are reviewing the song once again. They are still deliberating whether the song was indirectly advertising for any particular station or they can rule out the possibilty.
MBC said over a phone interview on the 18th, "KARA's 'Were with you' will receive it's final decision on the 19th after it's review".
Meanwhile, KBS already have decided not to broadcast KARA's "Were with you"
KBS ruled that the song was advertising a different station which made them reach their final decision. They said that the implication of indirect advertising was very strong in the World Cup Campaign from SBS in the background of the song.
It just shows that there is conflict between SBS, KBS and MBC.
