Months of not seeing 2NE1 on music shows is causing melancholy in every Blackjack’s heart. The girls have been gone for so long that their quirky presence on stage is now being sorely missed by fans. In the past two weeks, though, the foursome did not fail in giving us little surprises that were more than enough to feed our hunger.

To kick off June, 2NE1 performed their hit songs in Seojong Center Performing Arts. Just a day after, they headed to Jeju Island’s Great CJ Only One Camp for another amazing stage. Dara attacked her fans with Me2Days featuring a very summer-y 2NE1 parading around the world-famous island and through the photos, she displayed her driving skills as she took over the wheel of their rented BMW, with the three girls joyfully tagging along.


During their stay in the island, the girls also experienced a yacht tour with MNET cameras predictably still on their tail, exponentially increasing the possibilities of a second season of the phenomenally successful 2NE1TV.

The four YG ladies left the island on the fifth of June but leaving did not mean the end of activities. YGE granted us a rare television appearance by none other than Dara. She came as a special guest for Goo Hye Sun’s stint on Win Win. She graced the show and impressed both Hye Sun and the program's hosts with her various charms. Even SNSD’s resident cutie, Taeyeon, had nothing but praises for our very own lovable dork. On the same day, 2NE1 also gave their YG brother, TOP, support for his movie, Into the Fire. And quite unusually, the four girls appeared in public once again the following day to gift Black Jacks with more live performances, at an event held at Garden 5.
Three days after this series of events, a picture of an injured Dara worried fans everywhere. She stated in her Me2Day that she suffered from a second degree burn while cooking her favorite ramyeon snack. Good thing leader "CL-roo" was there to provide some TLC. Though still sporting a bandaged finger, maknae wanna-be Dara and real maknae, Minji, succeeded in bringing on the cuteness for their Happy Point stage, leaving the task to show the smexy on to Bom and CL who both wore short shorts for the said event.

The support for South Korean athletes does not end here for 2NE1. On June 13th, the unnies impressed not only baseball fans but also hungry Blackjacks when they showed up to pitch for the Lotte Giants. As expected with the Park Sisters, both still looked great despite publicly sporting baseball uniforms for the first time.

What was not expected though is a guerilla performance from all four girls right after Dara and Bom’s pitching for the Giants. For their first ever guerrilla performance, the girls wore similar outfits from their first 11st CF while performing Fire, I Don’t Care, Let’s Go Party and the maknaes’ powerful Please Don’t Go. Gift-giving seems to be the trend for 2NE1 this month as they are reportedly filming another ad for online shopping mall, 11st. Also, it looks like the girls will start their overseas promotions in earnest soon. They recently were interviewed by Thai media giant GMM Grammy. Check out CL's AMAZING english.


It is highly uncommon for the girls to be so active as these past two weeks. Black Jacks all over the world are feeling tremendously well-fed. Now, all we need is an actual comeback or at least a confirmation for 2NE1TV season 2.
