[News] T-ara Eunjung lines up horror movie project
2010.06.23
Looks like T-ara singer Ham Eun-jung will be pursuing her acting endeavors more actively — she is still working on her current drama, SBS’s romantic-comedy series Coffee House, but she has already lined up her next acting project, a horror film titled White (a working title).
White’s plot unfolds around a suspicious incident surrounding a popular girl idol group. Looks like it will keep its casting true to its theme in bringing onboard another young singer, 18-year-old May Doni. Joining the two pop starlets are 15-year-old actress Choi Ara (who debuted in Blink as a 5-year-old and was also in Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance) and 17-year-old new face Jin Se-yeon.
I generally like Eun-jung in Coffee House; it’s not an outright love, but I find her character sympathetic and likable. I do wonder, however, how an idol star can remain active in the group while taking on multiple acting jobs — particularly when her other bandmates are also busy with side projects. Where are these kids finding all this time? (Boy, do I feel useless.)
White will begin filming in July (which means Eun-jung will jump right in after wrapping up Coffee Prince) and plans to release in the first half of 2011.
