Korean singer Kim Hyung-jun of boy band SS501 broke down while hosting a live radio show over the recent death of actor Park Yong-ha, who committed suicide early Wednesday morning.
Early Thursday morning, Kim broke into tears while saying his opening message for latenight radio show "Kim Hyung-jun's Music High," which airs on SBS Power FM radio (107.7 Mhz) at 2 a.m.
"Today was an incredibly hard day. So suddenly, I had to send off someone who was like a real brother to me. I can't believe it," the singer said on the show. "He was so nice to me and I wasn't very good to him. I am so sorry. I hope you are well, brother."
Listeners of the radio show reportedly sent in text messages and online posts to console the singer and paid their condolences to the deceased.
Kim had paid a visit to Park's wake service, held at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, two days ago.
