Taeyang has released his first solo album, and in 1 day, his deluxe edition got sold out and his deluxe edition album is currently number 1 on hanteo album charts. In addtion, he is also ranked number 1 with "I need a girl" on mnet real time charts.

Big Bang's solo debuts are making a huge hit throughout.

The first solo debut from Big Bang was Taeyang, Taeyang released his first solo mini album "Look at me" last May 2008 when it reached the top and ranked number 1 in music charts and music programs.

After Taeyang, Their maknae Seungri released a single "Strong Baby" which was released late in 2008 where it also was ranked number 1 on music charts and music programs.

Daesung as well, who released a digital single "Cotton Candy" last January this year was ranked number 1 on online music charts.

August last year, G-Dragon released his first solo album "Heartbreaker" which had a tremendous success in 2009 where the album sold over 100,000 and more and was widely popular by the second half of 2009, it was ranked number 1 on music charts and music programs as well.

For this year, TOP released a solo digital single "Turn It Up" where once it was released, it was ranked number 1 on music charts as well.



Big Bang debuted last summer of 2006 in the music industry, and after 2 years, Big Bang's members went on solo promotions.

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Seok speaks about this, "The member's of Big Bang were given an opportunity to promote solo to show their own musical style. Rather than focus on the whole Big Bang, the member's can express themselves in their own musical genre" he continued, "Of course, The songs and tracks of their solo albums were their own choices and it plays a very important role".

He followed, "Each member of Big Bang has different styles and different charms, Whenever the members promote solo, they seemed to be even more loved. The Big Bang member's supports each other on their solo albums, they give each other advice and helps out each other. The member's are looking forward to each others solo album's release".
