The fourth season premiere of the reality television program featuring the Wonder Girls will air on Thursday, MTV announced Monday.
``MTV Wonder Girls’’ introduces the girl band’s promotional activities and everyday life in the United States, such as at their New York home and studio.
The new season is also scheduled to feature the Wonder Girls’ upcoming performance in Malaysia on Saturday. The five-member group plans to perform as representative artists of Korea, for an audience of 15,000 in the concert dubbed World Stage Live in Malaysia. The lineup includes U.S. pop star Katie Perry and German band Tokio Hotel, among others.
In addition to airing their work onstage, the program will trail the girls as they meet local fans and vacation at a resort.
The five-part program will be broadcast at 10 p.m. on Thursday and every Saturday at 8 p.m. from its second episode on Aug. 7.
The reality show was launched in 2006 to introduce fans to the band’s activities and continued over three seasons.
``If the past series focused on capturing the girls’ cute charms onstage, then the new season will introduce fans to the heightened maturity in their music,’’ said the producers of the program in a press release.
