Pretty, Bubbly, and Fun ... the Dynamic Duo of Dara and Minzy, brightened up Music Core today. I was so impressed with MINZY's stage presence, there are no words. They both seem like MCing pros....thank you thank you, thank you YG for letting them showcase skills other than performing. Also, since it's “Korean Alphabet Day” today (9th Oct) , Dara's & Minzy's names were written in 'Hangul' on their mics (thanks izone for the information).

Opening MC Cut


Minzy is a natural and Dara's vivaciousness translated perfectly on screen, you could tell they were a tiny bit nervous at first, but they barely let it show and really started the show off with high-octane energy and cuteness. They were both fun and cheerful and exciting. 

Did you happen to notice? CORRECT, there was no third MC. I guess the Mighty MC Power of this team was more than enough for MBC... who needs a third MC when you have two such awesome ladies?

Hearing Minzy's voice in the voice overs seriously made my day, completely. Here are additional MC cuts.





Dara's Soom parody was too cute for words, Min should have done a Hello one hee hee. Minzy's alluring stares directly into the camera...WHERE DID MY SHY MAKNAE GO? Also, seems like Minzy's love for the spiked hoodies has rubbed off on Dara, both were sporting pretty intense spiked hoodies. When they both said SHOW SHOW SHOW my heart stopped. Who knew watching MCing could be so fun?

It was so nice to watch a music show without the tension of charts and rankings and will they or wont they win, just enjoying the show and waiting to see my girls' faces. Music Core is a nice and welcome break from all the awards drama.

D & M did not let their MC duties prevent them from giving us a 1000% in their live performance. They joined Bom and CL in a roof rocking rendition of Can't Nobody. 



The pigtails return for CL (aww I miss the Please Don't Go era zz-num-01.gif) All the girls were sporting this Halloween-esque skeleton hoodie. Are these a variation by J Scott? At first they seemed odd, but actually, they all looked comfy and seemed to have even more fun than usual in their performance. We all should know by now that because Music Core has no awards, usually the last performer of the night is deemed to be the most popular for the week. When I saw the credits roll, it basically confirmed what we already knew.

A great and fun show for Blackjacks.. let's hope the rumors are true and CL & Bom MC next week.

SBS INKIGAYO TOMORROW!!!!

The last Music Show of the week, SBS' Inkigayo airs tomorrow, Sunday, October 10th at 4:00 PM KST; with performances from 2NE1 (Go Away), BEAST, Lim Jeong Hee, SHINee, Se7en, Co.ed, BOA, Sistar, Son Dam Bi, Secret, San.E (ft. Miss A Min), V.O.S, Eru, An Jin Kyung, Oh Jung Hyuk. It's an ALL-Idol Take 7 including: 2NE1 [Clap Your Hands], SHINee [Hello], 2NE1 [Go Away], BEAST [Breath], miss A [Breathe], Boa [copy&paste], and FT Island [Love, love, Love]. 

We will just have to wait and see if 2NE1 can make history with a record four straight Inkigayo mutizens.
