5-member idol group SHINee gave surprise support for same-company senior BoA in her challenge of acting in a drama.

SHINee made a surprise appearance in a cameo in the SBS miniseries “Athena: Goddess of War,” which is BoA’s drama debut project and showed her their support. BoA and SHINee are SM Entertainment sunbae and hoobae.

BoA is appearing in “Athena: Goddess of War” as Asia’s top singer. Acting as a character receiving Jung Woosung’s protection, her actual image will be reflected in the production. BoA, who commendably carried out her acting debut in a drama through concert filming this past July, proceeded with filming in Korea this past 18th. With agency SM Entertainment’s building as the backdrop, her natural and everyday backstage image was captured on camera. SHINee acted out a scene with BoA in the agency’s practice room and added onto the authenticity.

A representative from production company Taewon Entertainment said, “We focused on capturing BoA’s natural image from every day life. With SHINee’s appearance, the scene became more realistic.” BoA has completed all of her filming for “Athena: Goddess of War” with the conclusion of this domestic shooting.

Meanwhile, “Athena: Goddess of War” is an action blockbuster that features Jung Woosung, Cha Seungwon, Soo Ae, Lee Jia, and others. Its broadcast is scheduled for December.
