Departed From Korea "Beast Idol" 2PM Holds Japan Debut Interview, 1000 Fans Gather at Narita Airport
The Korean 6 membered male group, 2PM, who made their landing in Japan with the catchphrase of "Beast Idol", held their Japan Debut interview on the 6th in the metropolitan area (Tokyo). On this day they arrived to Japan and over 100 fans began gathering at 8AM at Narita Airport to greet them. By the time that 2PM appeared past 10AM, 1000 people ardently welcomed them with the call of "2PM! 2PM!" At the interview, Nichkhun elevated the fervor with his words, "We're grateful to our fans who always come to Korea and cheer for us. From now on, we want to work hard in Japan. Please treat us well!"
2PM debuted in Korea on September of 2008 and this year, they've advanced into Japan with the DVD "Hottest~2PM 1st MUSIC VIDEO COLLECTION&The History," released on November 24th. Hereafter, on December 8th, they will release their debut album, "1:59PM ~JAPAN SPECIAL EDITION~" and carry out their Platinum Showcase Live Performance at Tokyo's Ryokokugikan on the same day.
We peeked into their desires for their activities in Japan with Chansung: "I think the fact that we're known known quickly as 1 day is momentous. We want to show the characters that each one of us has." Regarding the "Beast Idol" phrase, Taecyeon enthusiastically explained "Even in Korea, 'Beast Idol' is a phrase that was first used because of us. From now on as well, we want to continue working hard with our 'Masculine Beauty' and manly performances."
