Q: Can you tell us how you came to be a member of 2PM? A: I, as well as Chansung, entered JYP through the same audition TV show. I worked hard as a trainee for 2 years and was chosen to be one of the members.
Q: You favorite music? A: Korea’s Kim Dong Ryul. The songs’ lyrics and melodies are good. I think “Because You Don’t Love Me” is one of his famous songs.
Q: What do you do on your days off? A: Go on my laptop, play games, go out in my car, work out with all my strength; I do various things. I take care to make time to reflect on myself.
Q: Your favorite movie? A: I like serious movies that can deliberately make you think after watching them. Recently, like Chansung, I thought “Inception” was good.
Q: You change your hairstyle often but is there a style with which you’d like to challenge yourself anew? A: It feels like I’ve already done everything from short to long so it seems like all that’s left is to shave my head.
Q: What type of girls do you like? A: An innocent person who gives an impression of virtue and yet has a hidden sensuality.
Q: What kind of fashion style do you like seeing on girls? A: T-shirt with jeans. Someone who’s not very flashy, simple is better. (All the members agree)
Q: If you were to go on a date for 1 day, where would you go? A: I would like to look at Seoul’s night view together with her at the N Seoul Tower (in Nansam Mountain).

Q: Can you tell us how you came to be a member of 2PM? A: I took on the challenge of “Superstar Survival,” a Korean auditions TV Show and I came into the care of my current company, JYP. At first, I aspired to be an actor but I learned song and dance while at JYP and thought “This is fun!” I felt the unmistakable appeal of the job of a musician.
Q: You favorite music? A: I often listen to ballads. To name an artist, Kim Bum Soo is my favorite.
Q: What do you do on your days off? A: I go out to watch a movie.
Q: Your favorite movie? A: “Inception,” which I watched recently, was good. Around when I first saw “The Matrix” I was really impacted.
Q: A fashion item you favor? A: I choose coats, long jackets or outerwear that’s long in length a lot. I’m tall so I like to show balance more often than my height.
Q: How do you reduce stress? A: Originally, I used to eat but since I gain weight easily, I stopped. Now I exercise or play games.
Q: What are you recently obsessed with? A: Reading books and watching live performance videos. I watch and study the performances of various artists like Usher or Justin Timberlake.
Q: What type of girls do you like? A: I’m pretty taciturn, so a person who is bright and can continue a pleasant conversation for a long time is nice.
Q: If you were to go on a date for 1 day, where would you go? A: The beach. There’s this place in South Korea called Jeongdongjin and if you go there, you can see a beautiful sunrise so I could put together an awfully romantic event.

Q: Can you tell us how you came to be a member of 2PM? A: Ever since around the time I was in junior high, I really liked Stevie Wonder and while I thought, ‘someday, I want to be an artist like this,’ I set my sights on a job that had to do with music so I could do that. And then, when I was in my 2nd year of high school, I received and audition and became a member of 2PM.
Q: What do you do on your days off? A: I like coffee so I often go to cafes. For me, it’s the time when I feel most comfortable.
Q: What do you try to keep in mind when training at the gym? A: Drinking an Americano (type of espresso) before doing exercise. It can make your metabolism rise tremendously, you know.
Q: Your favorite drama? A: “Winter Sonata” is, of course, a masterpiece. I watched it when I as a first year in junior high and I cried with all my heart. I even bought Polaris’ necklace, you know. (laughs)
Q: Your usual style of clothes? A: It depends on whether or not it fits my body exactly. I especially take the sensation of my underwear gathering up into serious consideration.
Q: A hairstyle with which you’d like to challenge yourself anew? A: Anything’s fine as long as it’s not a crew cut! When I was a junior high student, I had to get a crew cut no matter what and that sucked. Even now, I don’t want to look at the pictures; I don’t even want to imagine it. (laughs)
Q: Your favorite food? A: Ddeobbokki. I also like Japan’s “Famous Chick Cakes.”
Q: What type of girls do you like? A: A person with a great smile. A person who works hard at the work they’re given.
Q: If you were to go on a date for 1 day, where would you go? A: I like animals so I’d like to go to the zoo.
Q: A memory of a Christmas that left an impression on you? A: When I was a high school student, to make my girlfriend at that time happy, I prepared candles and a cake and a stuffed animal and we spent the day together. But then, two weeks after that, she got a new boyfriend. It was a shock, you know?

Q: Can you tell us how you came to be a member of 2PM? A: There wasn’t a special reason or something, just, when I went to a concert, the person in charge of casting at the company I currently belong to called out to me. It happened really unexpectedly. I took an audition and now here I am.
Q: You favorite music? A: There’s too much, which would be good to say… Just recently, I’ve been listening to the Carpenters a lot. That voice is soothing.
Q: What do you do on your days off? A: I invite the members to go out and eat yummy foods like steak or samgyupsal because on work days, I eat a lot of box lunches so when our rest days come around, I want to eat things I like.
Q: Your favorite movie? A: “The Hangover”. I like comedies that I can watch at ease.
Q: Is there an object that you always carry in your bag? A: Herb tea.

Q: Can you tell us how you came to be a member of 2PM? A: As a child, I had an interest in working in entertainment. Then, I began thinking of gradually turning towards song and dance and I participated in the same Audition TV show as Chansung and Taecyeon-hyung.
Q: You favorite music? A: I listened to various types of music regardless of genre, but before I knew it, I didn’t know what I liked so recently, I listen to melodies I make myself.
Q: What do you do on your days off? A: I’m the type of person who’s happy indoors. I watch movies, enjoy cartoons, and do the stuff I can’t normally do.
Q: Where is the number one place where you can get comfortable? A: I’m not shy so I can be comfortable wherever I am (laughs). If I have to, I’ll say my bed.
Q: Your favorite movie? A: “A Bittersweet Live” starring Lee Byung-hun. I often watch things about pure love.
Q: Is there an object that you always carry in your bag? A: A small, Japanese conversation book and a device for filming called “Flip”

Q: Can you tell us how you came to be a member of 2PM? A: I entered the company through JYP’s open auditions for trainees and became a member of 2PM.
Q: You favorite music? A: I often listen to drama soundtracks. As for artists, Chansung and I like the same one, Kim Bum. “Loving You” is a famous song by him.
Q: What do you do on your days off? A: Composing music at the dorms.
Q: Where is the number one place where you can get comfortable? A: When I’m in front of a piano. Because I can concentrate on just playing. Nichkhun is amazingly good so he occasionally teaches me.
Q: Your favorite movie? A: I’ve watched the Japanese move, “Love Letter” many times. The piano that plays throughout is excellent!
Q: How do you train your body? A: When it’s necessary to show muscle, to suit the stage concept, our trainer customizes a program for us. Other than that, we just try to break a sweat as much as possible to detoxify our bodies.
