2PM‘s Nichkhun recently tweeted a controversial take on the recent disasters.
“Some people think it’s weird that so many disasters are happening all around the world. The Earth is just trying to rearrange its shape. Think about the way you rearrange your bedroom. You change the settings of things,you buy some and throw some away. It’s the cycle of life.”
While he’s probably trying to be more optimistic than the more popular 2012 or doomsday rumors, it’s unsettling to think that Nichkhun’s put something like the earthquake in Japan which has claimed over 10,000 lives in the same category as rearranging a bedroom. Taken the wrong way, his tweets could be interpreted that lives are thrown away the same way as things.
UPDATE: Nichkhun deleted both of his tweets and left a message in their place saying, “I didn’t mean to hurt people’s feelings. I just wanted people to think positively. For that I’m sorry.”
