Top Korean producer and founder of JYP Entertainment Park Jin-young, actor Kim Soo-hyun and 2PM member Tacyeon have been nominated for the award of best new actor at the 47th PaekSang Arts Awards.
The official website for the awards revealed Friday that Park and Kim received nominations for their roles in KBS' musical TV series "Dream High," a joint production between entertainment firms KEYEAST and JYP Entertainment, while Taecyeon was selected for his role in KBS' "Sister of Cinderella."
Other notable nominees in the same category included Kim Soung-o from SBS' hit series "Secret Garden" and Park Yuchun for his role in KBS' historical drama "SungKyunKwan Scandal."
This year's PaekSang Arts Awards, into its 47th edition, will take place at the Peace Palace located in Kyung-hee University of Seoul on May 26.
Park and Kim both starred in "Dream High" which tells of the dreams of students who attend a performing arts school aimed at cultivating celebrities. The show brought in high viewership ratings during its run from early January to late February this year in the Monday and Tuesday nights primetime slot.
"Sister of Cinderella," which aired from March 31 to June 3 last year, is about the un-fairytale-like story of Cinderella's sister which also starred Korean actors Moon Geun-young, Chun Jung-myung and Seo Woo.
