Jakarta, May 27 2011 – BlackRock Entertainment, music promoter, established in January 2011 by Krishna Radhitya and Jay Alatas, will hold their first ever music concert, Jakarta FantastiKpop Festival 2011 on June 18 2011. Five Korean artists such as 2AM, Miss A, JOO, San E and Lee Hyun, under the management company of JYP Entertainment, will perform on the same stage. For 4.5 hours they will be performing their hit songs at Istora Senayan.

The Director of BlackRock Entertainment Taye, said, ”This music festival would be more than just a music concert, Jakarta FantastiKpop Festival is also going to be a Korean cultural arts festival. We hope visitors will not only enjoy the music and see their Korean idols live, but also be able to experience the Korean culture right after they enter the venue”.

During the concert, various booths providing variety of things relating to Korean culture such as food, drinks, music, fashion, etc will be available outside the main venue.

In the last few years, K-pop (Korean pop) has grown rapidly, especially in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. The globalization of K-pop culture in Indonesia can be a new inspiration and motivation for Indonesia’s art of local music. Some things that aid the K-pop music industry grow so rapidly are the preparations, music quality, packaging and branding, and also promotions.

Tickets for Jakarta FantatiKpop Festival has been sold online since last May 14 2011 through BlackRock Entertainment’s partner, plasa.com. There was also special ticket box opened on May 28 – 29 2011 at Epicentrum Walk, Rasuna Epicentrum, Jl. HR Rasuna Said, Jakarta. Daily ticket box has also began selling on May 30 2011 every day from 10am until 5pm. Daily ticket box are available at BlackRock Entertainment’s office, Jl. Tirtayasa IX no 12 and at BlackCat Jazz Supper Club, Plaza Senayan Arcadia, 2nd floor. Both online sales and direct selling will continue until June 18 2011 or when all tickets are sold out.
