2011.07.15
A surprise event prepared by Japanese fans for Girls' Generation's Seohyun's birthday has been garnering attention.
The 28th of June was Girls' Generation's Seohyun's birthday. Because she was in Japan for their arena tour, Japanese fans prepared a special gift.
They prepared a flamboyant event of dressing up as Girls' Generation from head to toe.
What caused the fans to garner even more attention was the fact that the fans were not female fans, but male, wearing Girls' Generation's military outfit.
With Girls' Generation's recent popularity in Japan, Japanese fan culture has slowly become similar to that of Korea.
Japanese fans were usually active towards individual stars they like rather than groups, but that has started to change.
On this day, fans showed unprecedented Japanese fan cultures by gathering to celebrate Seohyun's birthday, proving the change.
Japanese fans' special birthday event for Seohyun will be revealed through Mnet's hallyu report.
On the 14th, Mnet looked into just how popular Girls' Generation is in Japan, as well as why they go crazy for them, through the first half of the full report, subtitled "Do You Know Whom Girls' Generation is?".
The second part of the report will air on the 21st at 7:30PM (KST), subtitled "Right Now, It's Girls' Generation!". Aside from the group's popularity, they will cover Girls' Generation's power of changing the lifestyle of female fans in their twenties.

That is the basic idea behind crash games. They strip the round down to timing. The game shows the risk in real time instead of hiding it behind a spin or a dealt card. Read more

And tucked inside that shift is one of the more unusual comeback stories in alternative health: the return of Rife frequencies. Read more
