[NEWS] Boy band Dalmatian disqualified because of popularity?
2011.08.30
Group Dalmatian recently shot MBC’s special Chuseok (the harvest festival) program The 3rd Idol Star’s Track and Field. Even though Dalmatian took first place, they were disqualified twice.
Dalmatian’s fans raised questions about the fairness of the judgment.
A fan, who visited the set to see Dalmatian, said, “There was no reason for Dalmatian to be disqualified. I think it happened because Dalmatian is a new group and they are not very popular yet.” The rumor spread across the net and many people started thinking the same way.
But that was just a rumor. On the 29th, MBC said, “That’s not true. Even though it was a walking race, everyone was running. That’s why we had a rematch. You can check the validity of the rumor when the show is aired.”
