2AM, facing their debut in Japan, met with the media beforehand.
On the 13th in Tokyo, 2AM's Japanese debut single [Never let you go ~ Can't let you go even if I die]'s public recording and press interview opened. First revealing a studio image 2AM held their public recording through stand mics. To approaching reporters they looked tense but as soon as their debut song [This song] started they changed to solemn poses, and showed beautiful harmony. Then they sang [Never let you go ~ Can't let you go even if I die] in flowing Japanese and were applauded.
Afterwards at the press interview questions for the members flowed. To a question about his impression of their Japanese debut, Jinwoon answered, "I'm really nervous. We really practiced a long time for the Japanese debut and are studying Japanese so please take care of us." After their Japanese debut, Japanese artists they'd want to work with, Jinwoon: x-JAPAN and B'z, Tamaki Koji, etc rock artists, Jo Kwon: Nakashima Mika, and Changmin: Kubota Toshinobu, were pointed out. Changmin shockingly announced, "In Korea we did parodies for a few girl groups" and if there is a chance for a Japanese girl group, they especially want to try a parody of the national idols for Japan AKB48.
Changmin, who's had the experience of appeared on a cooking show on Korean cable, also said "If there's a chance I'd like to be on a cooking show or traditional food program in Japan" and showed a passionate interest in Japanese activities.
Jo Kwon who for the most part spoke in Japanese that day, was asked how much Japanese he had studied. "I'm studying everyday from 1 and a half hours to 2 hours. Since all the members' Japanese skills are different we have to study individually" which caused them to burst out laughing.
Meanwhile the Japanese edition of 2AM's first full album in Korea, [Saint o'clock ~ JAPAN SPECIAL EDITION~] will be released on November 9th and on November 11th the long awaited debut single [Never let you go ~ Can't let you go even if I die] will be released, and regular Japanese activities are scheduled to start.
