What is the secret to celebrities’ early morning airport fashion? We’re talking about the wee hours of the early morning.

Airport fashion has always been an important part of a celebrity’s image. When stars arrive at the airport, they present themselves in front of crowds of fans. Because fans are within close distance, it is important that stars keep their image in tip-top shape. Typically, celebrities will have little to no makeup, and some even go in sweatpants.

On Oct. 12, a number of popular idol groups arrived at Incheon Airport. SHINee, BEAST and 4minutereturned from the New York Korean Festival. They arrived at the airport at 3:30AM. Because the time was very late, most stars went with a natural look.

However, 3:30AM doesn’t stop fans from coming. To hide their no makeup faces, stars have used a variety of methods, starting from sunglasses to masks.

Sunglasses are always the go-to item for celebrities, because they cover the eyes while still giving off a fashionable look. This look was very popular among our idol members.

SHINee’s Key and Min Ho opted for this look. Key had a uniquely shaped sunglasses, which was a style bonus, and Minho had a black Boewing style.



4minute’s Nam Ji Jyun covered a majority of her face with a pair of chic shades as well. She was able to conceal the dark circles from her hectic schedule and busy lifestyle. Kwon Sohyun sported a pair of black over-sized sunglasses which were perfect for her small face.
Bending the head and covering the face with the palm is another method that some celebrities use. 4minute was the representative for this method at the airport.

HyunA was the most direct with this method. As soon as she stepped off the plane, she held her palm over the bottom half of her face and bent her head down low. Bending the head down at a slight angle gives this method two times the effect.

Huh Ga Yoon also covered her face with her hand. Because she was able to walk so quickly, she was able to avoid the camera’s watchful lens as well.
