On the recent research conducted by English website of Korea.com, it has been revealed that the idol group Super Junior, SHINee and actor Jang Geun Suk have been chosen as the most popular Hallyu star overseas.

The website calculated the total number of fans on each fanclub organized on their website and released the ranking on November 1st. Super Junior reigned on top with a whopping 3,063 members on it fanclub. Actor Jang Geun Suk is behind with 2,303 member and SHINee claimed third spot with 2,138 members.


Meanwhile, actor Lee Min Ho ranked fourth with 1,972 members while Girls Generation is on the fifth. In the category on singing groups, Super Junior still on top followed by SHINee, Girls Generation, 2PM and Big Bang. For actors category, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Min Ho, Kim Bum, Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye were included in the top five.

Korea.com stated, "The fanclub members were from different nationalities including Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, USA and Singapore. Some people are from Islamic countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Brunei. Altogether, we have 46 fanclubs in singing group category, 18 in actor category and 12 fanclubs in drama catergory.
