Cable channel YStar's Goong Geum Ta reveals the standards of top idol groups in the industry.

Goong Geum Ta interviewed people asking the question, "What is the standard of a top idol?"

This resulted to identify the top celebrities from the people like Lee Byung Hoon, Bae Young Joon and Song Seung Hoon, all are duty-free shop models. They also considered the number of appearances in dramas, in commercials and the overseas popularity as the standards for top stars.

Following the initial question is, "What is the standard of an idol group?" From this question, people gave their different opinions. Answers gathered such as, "Teenagers cover the 80% who buy idol groups' songs/albums.", "Members of idol groups living together.""They should have more than 100,000 fans.

Most likely, the idol group's average age came out the most reasonable standard. If the average age passed 25, it's hard to consider them as idol group anymore. From this point, Super Junior, who is one of the most popular idol group objectively not an idol group anymore since the members' average age is 26.5.

Furthermore, there are vague questions like the standard that differs ordinary fans from sasaeng fans . Also celebrities' plastic surgeries.
