2011.11.28
"First generation seniors go a different way".
Singer and actor Jang Geun-seok expressed his feelings about his exclusive concert held in the Tokyo Dome, which only the best are allowed in at the K-POP live club 'Ginza K Place" in Kinja, Tokyo on the 26th.
He held his concert titled, "Jang Geun-seok 2011 Don't Cry in Tokyo Dome: The Beginning" at 4 PM on the 27th. About 45,000 people gathered to see him on this day.
At the press conference held prior to the concert, he couldn't avoid questions about Bae Yong-joon. He said, "Our paths are different" and explained what made him different from Bae Yong-joon and avoided having to answer deeper.
He said, "It's embarrassing to have to talk about my own attraction. The Japanese see varieties in me. They say they can't foresee what's next and that's what's so appealing. I think having many colors is my attraction".
He also said his spirits were lifted with Ryoo Si-won's message. "It's not easy being active in Japan. There are no friends around you and you're alone, making you lonely but Ryoo Si-won told me to call him whenever I was in doubt".
Ryoo Si-won had called him first and said, "I think the first generation Hallyu stars and you are going down different paths. I wish you well". Jang Geun-seok said, "It was over the phone but I got incredible power and consolation over that. I am going to open up a new path in a way that's different from theirs".
Meanwhile, the 4.8 billion won concert was held under an imaginary Prince World concept and Jang Geun-seok declared himself a Prince in front of fans and put up a unique performance.
