The Guerilla Event to Celebrate the Release of the First Japanese Album Got Cancelled!
Shibuya Police were Dispatched to Stop the Event 30 Minutes Before it Started!
The guerilla event to celebrate the release of SHINee’s first Japanese album was scheduled to be held in Japan on the 7th, but it got cancelled just before it started.
To celebrate the release of SHINee’s first Japanese album ‘THE FIRST’, SHINee was going to hold a guerilla event at 5 p.m. on December 7th in front of PARCO department store located in Shibuya, Tokyo, however, the police asked to stop the event as about 1,000 people gathered. Eventually, the event was cancelled 30 minutes before it began for safety reason and proved SHINee’s tremendous popularity in Japan.
SHINee was supposed to make a surprise appearance with dressing like Santa Claus and present the stages of album tracks for the first time at Shibuya Street. However, the event got cancelled just before the event began and fans and SHINee members were all inconvenienced.
Instead, SHINee’s ‘LUCIFER’ was playing on three large electronic displays at Shibuya scramble intersection for fans and “We would like to reward with the fan event which will be held at Tokyo International forum hall on the 24th.” Jonghyun said in an interview with Japanese media after the event was cancelled.
Moreover, Japanese media such as Sankei Sports, Nikkan Sports, etc. reported “The guerilla event which was scheduled to be held on the 7th in front of PARCO in Shibuya, Tokyo to celebrate the release of SHINee’s first album ‘THE FIRST’ was cancelled. Without any prior notice, about 1,000 people were gathered so the police were dispatched."
Meanwhile, SHINee will hold ‘SHINee JAPAN 1ST ALBUM 「THE FIRST」 SHOWCASE LIVE’ at Tokyo International Forum hall A on December 24th to celebrate the release of the first album ‘THE FIRST’ and attend a live event ‘MUSIC FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE’ which will be held at Yoyogi National Stadium on December 25th.
