The Wonder Girls has been chosen as the PR envoys of 2013 PyeongChang Special Olympics Winter Games.

On December 14th, the girls attended the appointment ceremonial event at the Nation Museum of Korea in Seoul. Wonder Girls were presented with appoinment certificates and plaque from a former congresswoman.

The Special Olympics is an international sports contest offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities, the opportunity to compete in sports and to improve their acceptance in society. The 10th Special Olympics will be held in PyeongChang starting on January 26th to February 6th.

Wonder Girls previously attended the closing ceremony of the 2011 Special Olympics in Athens, Greece back in July. They performed and introduced Korean culture in front of a 50,000 member audience. The group were praised for their efforts to help spread Korean culture overseas.
