It’s been revealed that IU will become the youngest Korean singer to hold a solo concert at Japan’s Bunkamura Orchard Hall!
On December 13th, IU’s Japanese label, EMI Music Japan, revealed that she will be holding her ‘IU Japan Premium Special Live‘ at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall on January 24th, just a few weeks ahead of her formal debut in February.
Representatives of EMI Music felt that booking a classical hall like the Orchard was necessary in order to truly bring out the essence of IU’s music. To date, Korean artists like Lee Moon Sae and Sung Shi Kyung have held concerts there, making IU the youngest K-Pop singer to enter the hall.
IU has already topped the iTunes chart in Japan with her “Last Fantasy” album without any formal promotions, so her advancement is predicted to be a smooth one.
