Previously, we reported 2NE1, who made an official debut in Japan this year, has been nominated for the Best Rookie Award at the 53rd Japan Record Awards. And on December 29th, the group has successfully reached out to the Japan public and selected to win the prestigious award.
According to Mainichi Digital, 2NE1 was chosen as the winning rookie at the 53rd Japan Record Awards, which awards winners selected by the Japan Composer’s Association.
During the rehearsal for the award show, members gushed out their excitement and stated, "We are so happy to be honored with such an amazing award in such a short amount of time that we’ve been active in Japan. We’ll try our best to keep coming back to claim more awards at the Record Awards year after year."
About the performance they would showcase at the ceremony, 2NE1 stated, "Our stage Will be full of feminine charms and the performance will be like a musical."
