[News] IU kicks off 2012 with first Mutizen on Inkigayo

Singer IU became the first artist to grab the first Mutizen Award for the year 2012.
On the January 1st installment of SBSInkigayo, IU took home her third consecutive Mutizen Award for her pop tune "You and I" from her second studio album "Last Fantasy".
She accepted the award and thanked everyone from Loen Entertainment, her parents as well as her fans and wished everyone a Happy New Year.
IU also stated, "It’s January 1st, and I think this year, there will be many good things. I am happy to start the new year so happily."
It has been a great year for IU as she claimed the top spot on all online music charts with her title track "You and I" upon its release on November 29th. She has also chosen as the "Top Singer of 2011" by music portal Monkey3 and became the "Longest-running #1 song of 2011" on Melon.
