2012.01.13
FTIsland has been crowned with two awards at the 26th Golden Disk Awards.
The band attended the awards ceremony held at Osaka Kyocera Dome on the 12th and received the Cosmopolitan Fun & Fearless Musician Award as well as the Best Rock Musician of the Year Award.
FTIsland released a mini album titled “Return” last May and a remake album “Memory in FTISLAND” last October. They received lots of love from their fans with the respective title songs “Hello Hello” and “Like Birds”. This is especially so as Lee Hongki creates hot issues with his unique hand gestures for almost every new title song they had.
In addition, FTIsland’s Lee Hongki was also the MC at the awards ceremony last night. He attracted lots of attention from the local fans with his fluent Japanese.
Upon receiving the awards, FTIsland expressed their gratitude by saying, “We felt really great to be crowned with two awards. Thank you for supporting us. We will work harder in future to bring you better music.”
On the other hand, FTIsland is planning to release an album in Korea for their comeback in early February.
