Rookie girl group CHI-CHI is gearing up for their advancement, following the trend of debuting in Japan.
Trophy Entertainment, CHI-CHI's agency, has signed a contract with the Japanese management agency, Promenade. Upon signing, the rookie group will be releasing a digital single, which is slated for release on April.
Originally comprised of seven members, CHI-CHI will make their debut as five members including Sui, Semi, A-zi, Boreum and Shine. The group is planning on holding a series of showcase title, "Shibuya CHI-CHI Festival" at Tower Record’s "Stage One" every month starting January 26th.
The agency stated, "CHI-CHI will start its promotions in Japan by appearing on various TV and radio shows. We have systematically set up the group’s activities and we plan on showcasing CHI-CHI as a group that is different from the other idols."
