Kuala Lumpur, January 2012 - Ushering in the Dragon year with a bang, Universal Music is organising the first K-pop fan-gathering of the year. This invite-only event will be held on the 11th of February 2012 (Saturday) from 3pm onwards at Bentley Music Auditorium in Mutiara Damansara.
Highlighting new and current K-pop stars under the Universal Music belt, which includes artists from CUBE Entertainment (Beast, 4Minute, G.Na, Troublemaker), SM Entertainment (TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls Generation, f(x)) and JYP (2AM, Wonder Girls, MBlaq) and many more, this even will definitely be a fun-filled day for fans of the K-pop music genre!
Activities at this event will include many competitions for fans such as; K-pop Artist Impersonations, K-pop Cover Dance Competition, Quiz and Fun-Games session, Best Dressed Awards and a Lucky Draw which will give fans the opportunity to win a trip to Singapore to catch Super Junior’s sold-out Super Show 4 or Beast’s Beautiful Show! Other cash prizes and autographed artist merchandise will also be up for grabs.
An opportunity for fans and fanclubs to show their support and love to their favourite K-pop stars, there will also be a video booth and signing booth open, where fans can leave personal messages to their stars of choice. Fan-clubs are also invited to submit their impersonator candidates to add cheer to the event.
The headline competition will be the Universal K-pop Crazy Party Cover Dance Competition, open to groups of two to nine after purchasing one of the Universal K-pop Artist albums, Super Junior’s Mr Simple, Girls Generation The Boys and Troublemaker’s Mini EP or selected caller ringtones. 10 selected competing groups are to choose a song (from a selected list of songs) and be in the running to win attractive cash prizes and a Universal Music hamper!
There will also be booths where fans can buy their favourite artist’s merchandise, a Universal Music stand selling your favourite artists’ albums and food booth from Korean local restaurants. Merchandise to be found will include 2012 calendars and diaries and many others.
As this event is invite only, fans are encouraged to download caller ringtones from their respective mobile carriers (Maxis, Celcom and DiGi users only). The first 200 downloaders from each Telco (Maxis, Celcom and DiGi) will receive an invite via SMS and automatically be in the running to win the tickets to the concerts. Fans can also purchase Superjunior’s Mr. Simple album, Girl’s Generation The Boys album, or HyunA and JS’s Troublemaker Mini EP album to receive invites to the party!
