Members of Ulala Session, the previously unknown group that rose to fame on the audition show “Super Star K3,” have decided to go it on their own, fearing the influence that professional management companies might have over their music.

The quartet, known for its vocal skills, break-dance moves and energetic performances, has been thinking about signing with a label since winning the reality program last year. Agencies like Loen Entertainment, the company behind singing sensation IU, have reportedly tried to recruit the group.

But instead, Ulala Session will use some of its 500 million won ($442,000) in prize money to establish its own agency, through which it hopes to release a pop album by April.
