JYJ member Kim Jaejoong has topped the list for the Celebrity section of the 4th Shorty Awards.
On the 23rd Kim Jaejoong topped the Celebrity section of the Shorty Awards, beating artists such as Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez. This is the 2nd consecutive year that he has won this honor.
Winners of each category, including the celebrity section which Kim Jaejoong won, will be invited to the annual Shorty Awards Ceremony in New York City in March.
The Shorty Awards are divided into 26 various categories which include health, politics, music, celebrities, etc. and are given to the people or organizations that best represented those categories on twitter.
From the finalists on the Shorty Award website, the final winner will be determined by the Twitter Real Time Academy of Short Form Arts and Sciences. Each finalist considered is evaluated by the Academy.
The New York Times has reported on these awards, saying “As the Oscars are to Hollywood and the Tony Awards are to Broadway, so are the Shorty Awards to Twitter”
