Girls’ Generation will be officially appointed as the Honorary Ambassador of Gangnam-gu at 3pm KST on March 7th, according to the Chief of Gangnam District Office, Shin YunHee on March 5th.

As the center of Hallyu, Gangnam-gu had appointed Jang NaRa and Rain as the ambassadors last year and through its brand marketing, the beauty of Gangnam made up of both its traditional and modern elements has been made known to the world.

Girls’ Generation’s friendly image as the new ambassadors of Gangnam-gu will be displayed through billboards in Incheon International Airport and main train stations as well as other popular tourist spots to promote the famous shopping and entertainment district in Seoul.
